iOS 18 Beta 3 was released on July 8, 2024, but recently, Apple released a new version of Beta 3, which some people called iOS 18 Beta 3.5.
What’s new in iOS 18 Beta 3?
Although Apple didn’t release significant new features in iOS 18 Beta 3, there are some things that Apple added and fixed in iOS 18 Beta 3.
- Dynamic Wallpaper
- Revamped Message on RCS (Rich Communication Services)
- UI change on keyboard and flashlight
- Fixed some bugs on the Photos app
However, Apple noticed some bugs after iOS 18 Beta 3 was released.
- UI bugs in the Home screen
- Frequent crashes when trying to open the Apple Store
Thankfully, this is why iOS 18 Beta 3.5 came out to fix these issues. iOS 18 Beta 3.5 fixed the customization issue on the home screen and fixed crashes when using the App Store. But the RCS still needs to be fixed (the user can’t send RCS in the messaging app despite having a good mobile connection). The Genmoji feature is still not available in the re-release version.

So far, iOS 18 Beta 3 has almost nothing new; Apple only improved the user experience in customization and photo apps and made a UI change in the flashlight feature. Most major features in the Beta version were already covered in iOS 18 Beta 2. But remember, this is the beta version, not the official version, which means some hidden features are mainly in development or probably not available yet.
When iOS 18 Beta 4 came out?
So far, Apple hasn’t announced Beta 4, and it’s unlikely to come out until Apple manages to fix some bugs in iOS 18 Beta 3; it‘s better to fix some bugs slowly rather than forcefully release a new update with more bugs.
